We recommend approaching buying beginner bike gear in stages. Stage 1 is for people brand new to cycling and who are aren’t necessarily committed to the sport. Stage #2 is for new bikers who are ready to buy some basic cycling gear, so that they can start biking with buddies/training for a triathlon, etc.
